knife laws explained by a barrister

I remember when I was 7, the swiss army knife cloens made by millets came out, all my friends had one, we took them to school, showed to teachers, we all thought how cool all of the tools, no teachers batetred an eye lid. 8 years later when I was fifteen a 7 year old tried to mug with a SAK, im...

    Burning wet logs / woods

i think i only used the 3rd oven to dry wood occasionally in an emergency, and door was open a range can give loads of excess heat not used for cooking, main inside wood box is a few feet away, no fire risk but its warmed to help dry out, any outide wood in winter can get some moisture from...

    Burning wet logs / woods

It does depend where you get it from. i get most of mine from longleat forestry, its done by weight on a weighbridge. £173/tonne , a tonne is about 2m3 or 2.5 builders bags, they ahve kiln dried for hobby fires etc, but vastly more expensive, and your paying for a gas kiln so kind of defeats...

    Burning wet logs / woods

Also if you have a multi oven range, the small oven makes a great kiln to dry out wood if you have some spare heat going, outr wood range is on every day in winter just to warm up the house, let along cooking, so it often kiln drys some wood. I cants ee the point in having a wood fire, and...

    Burning wet logs / woods

a variety of wood is good, as sometimes you need to get a good blast of heat going, lots of variables, draughts, wind conditions, pressure, often we have softwood, and even punky wood, anything burnable. reminds me of the blast of heat in the steamengine in back to the future part 3, with the...

    Burning wet logs / woods

first winter in the cottage, we were frugal with the little oil remaining as we knew we were going to swop pil range for an esse, so average temp over winter was 10 degrees, even now plenty of blankets and jumpers is best way, took out all the radiators to make more space, but the...
