Today I became one of those people..

Thank you, I'm not sure what the dribble is from, the thing is made of aluminium. I guess the majority of the pot will be easy to clean. The spout might be a bit more difficult. Not sure what's been in it, but there's no nasty smells, in fact no smell at all. I'm guessing just tea. I don't...

Wild Camp at Llyn Cwm Llwch

Last nights wild camp at Llyn Cwm Llwch. It also marked my four year old sons third wild camp and first wild camp in the Brecon Beacons. He has walked Pen Y Fan and Corn Du so we decided to walk from Cwm Llwch side for a change. The weather was mostly dry with the odd shower and the odd gust of...

Swap a size 2 lavvu for a dutch army tent ?

The Lavvu is worth probably double the price of the Dutch army. Also, the Dutch army leak a lot through the zips, by all accounts. What you want is a French Army F1, but you will struggle to find one.

    Bivvy advice wanted

I've got two Dutch army hooped bivis. I'm dying to try one but haven't yet. The Dutch army hooped bivi has a fly net, did you not use it, for those who got bitten, or is it just not very effective?

RM Picnic Wickless Pressure Stove Car Boot Sale Find

Thank you, I will probably give them a ring. I measured the external thread of the protector cap and it measured roughly .410", or just over 10mm. I'm not very good with threads, but presume they are tapered.

RM Picnic Wickless Pressure Stove Car Boot Sale Find

I posted this yesterday but it appears it didn't actually post, possibly poor signal at the time. Anyway, I picked up this RM stove from a car boot sale in West Wales (they always have the best boot sales) for £10. It came with the original tin, instructions and fuel container but unfortunately...

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

Sorry about that. I will keep my eye out for another cheap copy and let you know if I come across one. I would offer to pass the book on after I've read it, but I'm somewhat of a book hoarder.
