Graffiti? He aint done nuffink guvnor. The bottom pic was just a white and black whippet photo I found on the net that had similar markings. The top pic is indeed our dog. Thing is, we got a Border Collie pup last time we had a dog, then he grew. Still the right shape but got bigger. First we...

Well, after putting my lad on the scales it seems he's 25 kilos and borderline candidate for Zyklon B inhalation. I've cut his meals and re-branded him as whippet status. Doesn't seem impressed but lookin on the bright side, his food bill has gone down. Yesterday... This morning...

So what about a seriously overweight Chihuahua? They can be nippy little blighters. Bit too much white round the eyes for my taste as well. Mebbe a portly Corgi? Oooo, proper ankle biters them. We need details man.

Good grief, is this a windup or have we been infiltrated by GB News?

Fair comment, we kept our last dog going for 14 years and towards the end it was pretty expensive. Eventually it became a quality of life issue and we got him put down. This one is a VERY mixed breed (4 breeds I know of in the mix) and I do know that mongrels have something like an average 1.2...

Crikey, either you have a Crufts winning dog, something with a pre existing ilness or maybe shopped round for the worst deal. Our young Bull Lurcher costs £8.50 a month to insure although that doesn't cover fire and theft ;)

    Gap tree felled!!

Young farmers are pretty resourceful, my farmer mates were driving tractors before age ten. I'd de-railed a small loco before I was eight, fortunately my brother lifted it back onto its tracks with a mechanical grab on a 360 machine. Could easy be a young lad acting on the dislike of tourists...

    Gap tree felled!!

Thats a good point actually, bloke at work was complaining about sycamore recently. Saying that whenever he cuts one down it regrows from around the base. In effect coppicing so it might well. Could be kind of a symbol of rebirth or something. It might even extend the life of the tree in a way...

    Gap tree felled!!

I don't really "Get" vandalism. Lot of risk for zero gain. Stupid on all levels. Theft? I kind of understand it, they risk something for some elememt of gain. Kevin Kostner and Morgan Freeman are gonna struggle to find their way from the white cliffs of Dover to Nottingham now though.

    Orange is the New Black

Very little blue in nature. Given the choice thats the colour I spray onto my worktools (as well as engraving my name and postcode on them) so they can be seen as mine from.a distance. It's just that blue marker paint cos I picked a tin out the skip yonks ago and just kept with that colour ever...

Over 400,000 years ago, someone made this out of wood.....

What exact bit would you call the sweeping statements, I've scanned through it and it a seemed to be fairly solid.

    Orange is the New Black

I'm a big fan of stuff like knife handles being brightly coloured, if its in my hand or its sheath its not too visible anyway and if its in amongst a load of leaves it should be easy to see. Having said that, I bought a secondhand Manly Wasp with what a mate described as Minecraft Grass Cammo...

Just as a matter of interest, what are the actual figures relating to XL Bully attacks? Have they risen or is it just that they are in the media more? As far as I'm aware they dont collate the information about dog breeds and just present the numbers as total dog attacks, do we know? The last...

What would you not be able to do without your car, van, 4x4 or any other motorised vehicle.

On about people working close to home or not. A while ago I was working in a place called Maryport, travelling from Carlisle. On my way to work me and my workmate used to pass two lads from Maryport on their way to a job in Carlisle. We all worked for the same company... Waving at two blokes...

Its worth reading through a book on different dog breeds just to see how many were bred for some fairly dodgy reasons. It's a fair percentage. And when we had a hillfarm, the worst breed for worrying sheep was, Border Collies. Careful what you wish for with bans.

Err, Dogue De Bordeaux males are 610-690 high to the shoulder, were you standing in a hole?

Maybe the officewallas would find it easy but I'm a self employed carpenter and my work van enables me to work pretty much anywhere in the county and Cumbrias a pretty big county. How well would you manage without your employer?

Do the media only report on these attacks when the govenment is in trouble and needs a diversion from corruption? I can't remember when the last dangerous dogs act came in, when John Major was in power? Do we ban all hunting dogs? Pointers, Spaniels, Poodles (ever seen a big Standard Poodle up...
