Over the past few weeks I've had a go at making some kit.
The Billy.. an old steel sugar tin still needs some fetling as the lid is a bit tight and I'd like some steam holes .
The penny stove I have made loads but I made another just foe fun.
The pot stand is a repurposed coat hanger.
I also made a little candle lantern out of a small coke can which is perfect for a night light.20200430_142212.jpg

That penny stove and pot stand is just like the one I made for my day kit. So, Tengu, if you are viewing this thread, this saves me adding to your smallest cook set thread!

Thanks Woody Girl!

I'm going to make a REALLY tiny stove out of a couple of those tiny cola cans. I usualy find cans. I've got one.. just waiting to find another.

Nice stuff!

This is probably a silly question, but what are the key shaped objects on the black leather strings (in the second post)?

I have a little stove; no idea if I have any meths in store.

The bottles I have that look like they ought to contain meths have turps or teak oil in.

Did you drill the holes into the ferro rods? Did you saw them?

How is that possible without ignition?

No, I got the idea from girl in the woods from you tube.
They are not as fancy as hers.
I bought the ferro rod toggles and strikers. Just Google them. I think I bought these at wilderness gathering last year. They've been hanging about waiting for time for a project.

I'd love a pair of those mittens! They look so cosy!

I'd love to say I'd knit you a pair, but there is no more wool left!
I get the wool from a friend who has alpaccas. It's £10 a ball! Not cheap as it's hand Shawn Spun and dyed. So those items are hand made start to finish.
I won't see her again untill our local market opens up again.
It's amazingly warm and soft wool. Lovely to knit with and cosy to wear.

We just decided to collect the hairs of our Australian Shepherd. My niece decided to knit a pullover from it. A pretty outstanding fashion idea.

Today the blueberry vodka is to be bottled.. providing I can find the coffee filters to strain out the bits.
I've finished sewing up the jumper I knitted. Pretty pleased with it.
Photos will follow once the sun comes out to play so I can do justice with my phone camera.
