    NEW Mosquito and midge repellent

Have a free bump. My youngest has just come back from a month in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I've tried DEET before and didn't like it much so I sent him with a bottle of this stuff. The reports are very favourable. In a back to back test with DEET against ants on their kit, the DEET melted...

I have the Silva exped 4 and the Suunto M3. The only thing I've read that puts the Suunto ahead of the Silva is that the bezel is a bit easier to use with gloves. I use the Silva. The Recta DP420 is the same as the Suunto M3, sometimes it's cheaper.

    GPS for Geocaching

Mine is the 401. Great for walking and logging where you've been. Quick satellite lock. It's even got functions for jumping out of an airplane. But for geocaching and learning about GPS, it's not the one to use.

    GPS for Geocaching

I have a Foretrex 401 and an Etrex H. I find the Etrex H easier to use, it just seems to be right first time more often than the Foretrex. Unfortunately they are very popular on ebay and you can now pickup the Etrex 10 for similar money. You can download coordinates direct to the devices or...

    Hunting the Barghest...

Strangely enough I was there at 10pm with some explorer scouts for a night nav. I think they scared the monster away. Great night for it, not a cloud in the sky but the wind was howling over Pockstones Moor.
