I have just completed a little project. I took an offcut of an IPK and cut it into a triangle. I added webbing corners that were riveted. On to these I attached shock cord with plastic hooks on the end. The upshot is an end that will provide extra coverage at the front of ends of a tarp. So, no...

Thats a good idea. I have done the old knot trick in silnylon before. I had thought about mini bulldog clips (got plenty of them) and tarp clips. I just enjoy the challenge of engineering my own kit. Next up is a DIY Thermarest chair.

I say cut the corners but I didn't as such. I merely cut a slit in to allow for the edges to fold across. I wanted a sheet that could be used flat or as a bathtub groundsheet.

Thanks for your comment. All I did was make a cut 3" running from the edge to the inside. If you want a smaller or larger edge you just need to change the length of the cut. It is incredibly simple to do. I will try to get a picture for you.

I have put two holes about 40mm apart vertically. I pass the pegs through one hole and out the other. It means I can adjust the sides as required.

I just thought I would share my bathtub groundsheet that I just made using a spare IPK that I had lying about. It is put together with press studs at the corners, and lightweight pegs around the perimeter just to help it hold it's shape. I have just done a vid of it on youtube...
