Backpack to fit a 4feet CrossCut Saw?

I thought about that, but people seem to wrap skis to check them in, I fear they won't allow that with a saw..

Backpack to fit a 4feet CrossCut Saw?

Hi guys, Does anyone know a backpack long enough to fit a 4feet CrossCut Saw without sticking out? The largest I'm finding about 120 liters, are not longer than 3 feet at most! Cheers

Anyone with electricity knowledge? Solar panelling a laptop off grid???

Hi, I don't like to bother you guys just with anything. But I'm really out of my league here. So I've been researching on how to power a MacBook with solar energy for the last few months.. I've gotten nowhere. Apple computers seem harder to pull this off with, but I just can't get used...

    Advice on sturdy-totally-waterproof rain jacket?

Hey Mousey, I was thinking the same, an offshore waterproof I used once was like wearing a tarp, extremely uncomfortable, but great durability I guess since it was made pretty much of plastic.. Again. I'm not sure about long term on those jackets. I have no real clue. When I asked Musto's...

    Advice on sturdy-totally-waterproof rain jacket?

Hey sunndog, does the motorbike jacket have a hood? Do you have a specific link to the ventile double layer, I'm finding a lot of them and can't decide which one's better..

    Advice on sturdy-totally-waterproof rain jacket?

Jaeger, thanks again. Very much appreciated. Still, I just can't shake this feeling there must be something better out there than a waxed jacket. Are we sure this is the strongest material available, it doesn't look at all to me. Of course I have no experience with it, but I had the idea...

    Advice on sturdy-totally-waterproof rain jacket?

Jaeger I really appreciate your explanation, although I still don't get how the lining prevents damage to the outer layer on the wax jackets.. I've never used one that's maybe the reason, would you mind explaining the logic behind that argument? I thank you in advance.

    Advice on sturdy-totally-waterproof rain jacket?

Awesome Toddy, would you be so kind of recommending a brand in particular?, I don't mind paying high prices. I've never heard of wax jackets before but for sure I would be giving it a try! Thanks so much!

    Advice on sturdy-totally-waterproof rain jacket?

I have this issue where the sturdier the rain jackets I choose, the less waterproof they are. Can someone recomend a proper balance between the two or something I'm totally unaware of? Once I've used this kind of deep sea fishermen rain jackets which are pretty much made of plastic, and...

Best improvised water heating system for off-grid shelter?

Hi Janne :) Ok, my shelter is basically a cabin. About 20 sq meters, 10mts per floor, and now I was considering building a low level bathroom. Fireplace would sit just right above it. Structure is made of wooden beams. Walls are made of mud. Roof is made of tree bark, there's no artificial...

Looking for a felling axe recommendation, something better than Gränsfors?

I'm very grateful for your response. Very detailed and interesting. About the instructions on how to fell, I'm pretty much familiar with them. I've been felling from a very early age. And altough I'm no logger, I do bring a lot of trees down every year, around 200 every summer. Most of them...
