Other arms bergen - Military mart

Hi. I use mine quite a lot. If you want to hike more than a few miles buy a Bergen/civvy rucksack, however, for me, I only walk a few miles so it is a solid bag with plenty of room for a couple of nights camping. All the best

    a load of billhooks

Hi. I really like my billhook for two reasons. Firstly it can do many of the jobs in camp that Id need a small axe or large knife for. 2nd, here in the west country the Police don't need an explaination for why you are carrying it! They know what they are and what they are used for. As long...

    Don't get much better

I never really liked Zep. Too depressing! I like music that gives you a lift, not something that makes you think of Hangmans noose and stuff like that!

    A wild camping association idea

If in the past people didn't "break the law" and trespass on private land we would never have brought about the founding of access of public footpaths. In the Victorian age, it was the perpetual breaking of the law that opened a legal requirement to have access to once closed land see such books...

    Knit (net) your own rucksack

Hi. I love those frames, I have two and do the same as you have. Im lazy though, didn't make mine, I use a net hammock so I get to sleep in my rucksack too! I make a tube with my sleep mat and then use the net hammock to attach it to the frame. This gives it protection from bumps and knocks...

    Daily Medication Storage

Hi. Just ask for the copy prescription back, they have to give you it as you you/I need it for repeat prescriptions and for your own records. I have to carry a copy of all the drugs that I take in case of accident so Ive had this issue pop up myself.

    First aid kit Medication

Hi . I use the same design bottles as you. Urine sample bottles that I get from the hospital (un used!). I do the same as you, trim the tablet packing to fit and pop them in! Ive been using these for a few years now and had no problems.

    Whistle rescue

Hi. Isnt it a shame that for a few pence to buy a whistle and carry it around your neck when out and about you can save yours and others lives, yet so few people seem to be bothered to read and take note! Add one of those mountain plastic orange bivy bags and youll survive another night! May...

Whats your favourite piece of winter clothing?

Hi. With the hand thing in mind, my new favourite addition to winter gear would be the hand warmers. Which ones, either the Zippo or disposable ones! as long as they work!
