A bit of market research for item of kit or supplies that tourists may want to buy?

As a tourist who is frequently tempted into buying little things on my travels, stuff I'd 100% buy: Patches/stickers Ferro rods (with nice handles) Bracelets Random spoons Small containers Pocket mirrors Tissue Sanitzer Cooling ointment (for insect bites)

    Knife snobbery

I hear you. My very first bushcraft knife was a Mora Clipper. I'll have been using it for 10 years this November. Don't need anything better or pricier. The only alteration I've made is DIY a leather sheath.

The Ultimate "What is this Fungi?" thread.

Any thoughts on what these two are? Top one is quite large, stem is a light brown near the top and very shiny. The second one was found growing abundantly near beech and oak trees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dual burner stove CP250 adapter/regulator?

This is slightly off topic and certainly not in the spirit of bushcraft (sorry everyone) but I thought someone here would know what I need to do to make dual burner camping stove like this compatible with disposable camping gas canisters like this. Single burners house them in the underside but...

    Lightweight 2.5x2.5 tarp?

I will have a search! Thank you!

Has Anyone Waxed a Canvas Pack?

Yes, using Barbour Thornproof. I frankly don't think it was meant to be waterproof in the first place. The bag ended up weighing a ridiculous amount lol. But it came out waterproof in the end. Did it on a sunny day in the garden and hung it up on the laundry line with a black bin liner over it...

    'Horizontal' knife sheath.

I like scout carry for my BK2 but can't imagine carrying 'scout' on the front :P

    Lightweight 2.5x2.5 tarp?

Can anyone offer advice on a decent and not too expensive lightweight tarp option? I'm currently using a DD 3x3. It's been great so far and I've had it for about 5 years but I'm now looking for something a little lighter and think a downgrade in size wouldn't be a big deal DD's ultralight tarp...

Aaah, thanks for clearing it up guys.

Paramo Velez, Velez Adventure & Velez Adventure Light.

Thanks Shewie. Do you know if any of them have underarm vents in addition to the two at the front? I just received my Velez and it's definitely a hefty piece of gear. Seems almost perfect for the summer that we're having but I couldn't imagine wearing it any other summer. I'll wait until the...

Paramo Velez, Velez Adventure & Velez Adventure Light.

So exactly what is the difference? Has the Velez been discontinued and replaced with the Velez Adventure? Are there any design differences between the 3 aside from the obvious weight reduction on the Adventure Light?

    Ready Meal Reviews

I rate Mountain House highly considering it's dehydrated. Over in the States they've got tonnes of variety and it tastes a little better (lots of salt) but over here it can be bland. Of all the dehydrated stuff I've tried MH is better by miles. The lasagne and spag bol are great. Curry and...

What luxuries do you take bushcrafting?

A couple of weekends ago OH and I carried a disposable BBQ on our hike and short day excursion with the reasoning that we might not have time to make a fire, wait until it burns down to embers and then cook our food whilst practicing bushcrafty things and setting up camp. Worked a treat. Ashes...

    Eating fish you catch...

It seems to me everywhere I go the waters are catch and release. Is it even possible to eat the fish you catch? Does one have to be sneaky about it or am I just never in the right place? I mean... this is Scotland after all.
