Hi folks. It looks like I have a buyer. I will amend the prefix to the post as soon as the transaction is completed. I will keep this thread updated till the end. Many thanks for all your interest.

Woodlore for Sale (bought in the year 2000, not much has changed, but it's been used)

Have you been looking inside my head?? I know what you mean, and yes I have thought long and hard (years in fact). But the reality is that I have many knives, all of which perform just as well as this (albeit, they don't feel as satisfying in the hand). Since I've had children, my desire for...

Woodlore for Sale (bought in the year 2000, not much has changed, but it's been used)

After much deliberation, I've decided to sell my beloved Woodlore Knife (Alan Wood). I got this as a birthday gift back in the year 2000 (at the tender age of 17) and it's been one of my main users ever since. The photos were taken a few years ago, and the knife doesn't look this swish anymore...

    General Purpose Bushcrafting Knife

There is a reason why all the bushcraft schools hand out moras. They are designed for what we do.

    Watering can to Kettle?

Still reckon spout trumps ladle. And there's a good reason why lead and asbestos are no longer used in plumbing. And I don't like the idea of giving water boiled in galvanised containers to paying clients.

    Watering can to Kettle?

Cheers for that chaps. The galvanised issue is a bit of a concern. Obviously the water will get hotter than a household boiler can make it. The watering can is preferable to a bucket as a bucket doesn't have a spout.

    New knife

Unless it's a mora clipper John and Nick will rip your knife to shreds in the first week anyway, haha. They excel at finding fault with your tools. In all seriousness if you're going to teach then you're probably going to give your students moras, so it's probably worth having one yourself so...

    Watering can to Kettle?

Can anyone think of any reason why I couldn't turn a watering can into a group kettle?

    UK Laws and traditional knives?

From my admittedly limited reading on the subject, the 'traditional' large Bowie type knives, that proliferated the American frontier after the civil war, were designed as an all-round tool/weapon. They had enough weight in the blade to be used to chop and slash, but were light enough and short...

Different fire methods, in particular the upside down fire

I tried the upside down fire for the first time yesterday and it worked an absolute treat. It gave off some staggering heat, was low maintenance, less smoky and left a beautiful ember bed for cooking over. It's the future! P.S. Not my photo, just one I found on pinterest that illustrates the...

    Bushcraft blade for the ladies.

That's blummin awful. Why, why would anyone do that to a knife?

    Ideas for group shade structures?

I'd use big, cheap plastic tarps, like this: Then rig two or three of em side by side so they look a bit like this:
