Is it possible to survive as a vegetarian?

Only if you were able to grow lentils and other pulses and grains... The combination of some pulses and grains could provide your necessary intake... Sprouting some pulses actually raises their lysine content too... It would be difficult if you wanted to move on though and be nomadic unless you...

    Genius? Or food crime?

Funny you should mention the Chinese five-spice... I found a yellow damson tree in my area and made a very nice Sweet'nSour chutney with a star anise in each jar... A splash of sherry would most definitely have complimented the taste, and yeah, great with fatty meats... Any meats... Cheese...

    Midges - BBC1 Scotland Tonight - 9pm

It was informative if you don't know anything about Midges whatsoever, but I doubt it shared anything that you guys don't know about the midge already... The only good news might be the fact that he (Dr James Logan) has been able to isolate the chemicals in the sweat of people who are naturally...

    Midges - BBC1 Scotland Tonight - 9pm

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I just heard on the radio that tonight on BBC1 Scotland at 9pm, there's a pretty comprehensive programme about midges. If, like me, you don't have a TV, it will be available 24 hrs later on the iPlayer.

    Hello from London UK

Thanks for the welcome Mesquite. Will take a look at the BCUK photographic competition too. Would I have to be a full member to take part? Took a look... I'll join in that when I'm feeling a little more confident as to where everything is and how it works around here... I'm not expert but I'd...

You were in the woods, working? That's nice. What work did you do?

    Hello from London UK

Thanks Dreadhead. I see you do leatherwork... Will go take a look at your site. Nice work! I have a mora with a boring sheath, but it suits my carbon steel blade. If I upgrade to a stainless steel blade, I'd be looking for something like that Celtic Sheath for Mora Knife... If I find I'm real...
