Love AlfieAesthetics. His sense of humour definitely makes for a change from all the other YouTube channels.

    What did you buy today?

Snugpak Jungle Blanket. First impressions are that it’s a good bit of kit. Looking forward to taking it out.

Sold Stuart Mitchell Limited Edition NHS Secare - New

That is beautiful. Unfortunately my missus would murder me if I spent £500 on a knife! Good luck with the sale!

Sorry, that should say all in one pitching!

Lightweight but not silly money tent

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned it but the Vango Banshee 200 is a great lightweight tent. Weighs about 1kg, packs up small, all in one piercing and I’ve used it in torrential rain on Dartmoor with no water getting it. It’s also not super expensive.

    What did you buy today?

Just bought a Victorinox Alox Farmer and Bushcraft First Aid by Dave Canterbury and Jason A Hunt. Not had a chance to delve into the book yet but the Farmer is a lovely little knife. Seems to have the perfect set of tools (blade, saw, reamer) for what I want. Looking forward to testing it...

    What did you buy today?

Expecting delivery today of a new backpack, the Wisport Ranger 30l and a folding wood stove (a Lixada stainless steel). The Wisport packs seem to have some great reviews and are fairly reasonably priced compared to 5.11, Maxpedition etc so I'm excited to try it out. The stove is a bit more of...

Silky Saws - what's the difference between cheap and extortionate???

I’ve got the pocket boy, I forget the exact length but it’s the smaller one (130?). Great little saw. I’ve also got a Bahco Laplander and the Silky is better in my opinion but it depends what you want it for. I did find a huge range of prices even for that one model. Ranging from £55 (on...

    Melting glass

We've melted glass in a campfire before. We just used a normal campfire and a hand pump used for blowing up inflatable beds and we were able to melt glass bottles pretty easily.

    Recommendations for lightweight tarp

I'll add a vote for the DD superlight. I've got the 2.8 x 1.5m version and it packs really small and so far I am really impressed with it. Not had it too long but I've used it on a couple of trips where it hammered down and it's not let me down.

Nesting cup for 40oz Klean Kanteen

Excellent. Thank you. I did see that on Amazon but without confirmation it fitted perfectly I didn't want to pull the trigger.
