the search for the the holy grail that is the shellscrape PAM continues! ;)
Hi all, I'm planning to run a shellscrape activity for some kids, it's to do with a veteran group I'm workingwith.
I was in the Infantry T.A. in the early 90's and the shellscrape was a common overnight shelter for 2 soldiers.

Hi I know it's one of those tricky things to find.
After the US Army A.L.I.C.E. webbing,(which incidentally all was green), they did a less well known and lesser used system in the UK, I.L.B.V.based on a vest system.
all of it was Woodland camo, they made Woodland pattern "Alice" waterbottle...

I did the same thing years ago made a decision to stick to one design, I then pop riveted a load of pouches to a belt which worked well untill I wanted to add or change something,. I do like modifying things though ;)
I just took photos of my Poncho roll compared to an original works well but obviously the same limitations that 58" gear has.

Here showing the size and design difference, buckles rather than those tuck...
I'm still finding ways to adapt webbing, I like the mix-n-match aproach!
as for a poncho roll modification, I did one years ago but can't find photos, anyhow here is a poncho roll/PLCE sidepouch type idea
The big 310 ml Cartridge, please scale it up or down if you want, there is no magic percentage. My mixture as I say was ROUGHLY half and half, it was thick/tacky it felt a bit like rolling gloss paint onto the poncho, you could make it much thinner or thicker, best to test it first.
