    Passaround pattern Bushshirt finished!

That's really nice. Still trying to source the material for mine, struggling to find an old wool blanket of decent quality. Did you buy the Irish wool tweed and cotton drill fabric on-line?

    Kuksa !

Beautiful, absolutely love the rams head. Is their some sort of colour under the blackening? It looks red in some of the pictures

    Prehistoric tool making course

Just booked myself on this course being run at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, can't wait :D The synopsis is "Working out of doors in the Museum’s grounds, you will use the methods of ancient British people to produce your own hafted tool to take home. Techniques used include flint...

    BAF Volunteering Diary and Album

Nice pictures and it sounds like you are enjoying it. BAF is a great place and there are several others within a few miles that are all well worth a visit. The Weald & Downland museum, Fishbourne roman palace, and Little Woodham the 17th century village in Gosport.

Some very talented DIY people here...but spoons?

For me, it's all about the craftsmanship. Doesn't matter whether it's a spoon, kuska, hand made knife or whatever; I just like making things that require me to gain knowledge, practice skills and produce something useful.

    Wolf Brother, hunter gatherer fiction.

I read the first one, and although I liked it I did find it a bit too simple in places (although I realize that the intended audience is YA). Are subsequent books in the series the same or does the writing style develop as it progresses?

    What a great little video

Lovely video, I've always liked that old style of presentation where there is a gentleness and feeling of familiarity coming from the narrator. And of course it is craftsmanship at it's best!

    Spalted wood

Looks like a nice bit of timber, with lovely figuring. If I was over your way I'd take a couple of pieces, but I doubt if it's worth posting lol.

I agree. The skill being taught and the type of facility provided dictate the actual costs, as do the tutor to pupil ratio. This is potentially a great addition the the existing providers, but I have not yet heard anything that makes this unique!

What you originally posted was an offer of access with supervision. If what you really want to provide is more educational then you should have been more specific. You say you have done your homework, if so why ask for our input without providing us with all the information. Obviously an...

Nice pictures, certainly is a lovely looking place. Just another thought; although I can understand you wanting to ensure the place is used carefully and sensitively, leaving it undamaged for others etc., it may become difficult, time consuming, or uneconomical to constantly chaperone the...

Sound like a great place and I'd definitely be interested in it should it work out. Like others have said firewood, green wood and to be able to light a fire would be on my list. But solitude (ie smaller groups) , short notice access (along the lines of "Looks like it could be good weather at...
