    Pine Martins and Squirrels

I wonder with Pine Martens in their range on a regular basis how long it will take the greys to evolve the same response as the reds? I suspect not long at all.

Best Portablewood burning camping stoves ?

I love my Honey Stove, but I think it's best for occasional use. It would drive me made if I had to assemble it every day!

    Silk sleeping bag liner

The talk of tangling has always confused me - it's not my experience at all. I have a silk liner I've used for years, and I wouldn't be without it. It's saved many a cold night, especially with my lightweight summer bag. I suppose it all depends on how much you move around and what you wear...

    SVEA stove

At 4780 BTU they're not the most powerful - more than a Trangia meths burner (3,500) but less than a domestic hob (7000) and less than the typical gas canister stove (6000 - 8000). Most white gas/kerosene stoves seem to be in the 10,000 region. So not the blowtorch that some other stoves of this...

    Bivi bag condensation

Sounds about right. Still, dewy conditions make it difficult for the bag to breathe - the air is already overladen with moisture and isn't too inclined to take up more. A light breeze helps, which a sheltered garden often won't have. So yeah, your experience matches mine in similar conditions...

    Terra Nova Laser Conundrum

You can see them in this picture. They go at the ends, under the flap.

    Hilleberg Akto or similar recommendations

Well congrats on the new tent. I've always fancied the Soulo actually, but it would be impossible to justify with the Akto!

    Hilleberg Akto or similar recommendations

I got my Akto in 2003 and it's been in regular use ever since. Hard to beat Hilleberg for quality, but the price is steep. Still, I definitely recomment it.

    Vango Hydra 200 tent

My first tent was a Hydra 200 - bought in the early 2000s. Fantastic tent, and it's still to the good. At 3.5kg it's a bit on the heavy side, but boy is it strong - I sat out a couple of gales in this and it was stalwart. With the weight I seldom use it these days, but I wouldn't part with it...

Sleep mat for a painful back

The exped mats (down or syn) have very good padding - certainly the comfiest I've tried. Reasonable weight too. I don't have back issues in general, so I can't comment on that.

Question About Karrimor SF Sabre 45

I'm 5'6" and the SF45 fits me to a T. Transfers weight to the hps perfectly, with lots of adjustment to spare.

    thermorest Neo air

It should come with a field repair kit. This will cover you for most punctures you're likely to get. My camping buddy got a puncture in his on our last trip and we repaired it quickly and easily. The curse of air mats is that you're constantly paranoid about them - seeing this work so well...

    Sold Trangia full cookset

Great price for this set, especially since it includes the gas burner. Is this the 25 or the 27?

    Solar cooking anyone?

At 2lbs and quite bulky I don't think I'll be biting, but I would be interested to hear a longer-term report. The website says it can cook even when it's cloudy... I have my doubts. Also, the capacity is 400ml, which isn't a full meal for most, so you'd either need two of these, or another...
