Orkney is a fantastic place for a visit. The food, drink and the people are brilliant. The historic stuff has been very well excavated and the visitor centres etc are all fantastic. But there are more stones, cairns, brochs and burial Chambers in Caithness. It's just that they have mostly been...

Last wolf in Scotland memorial stone is in a layby just north of Brora commemorating the the killing of the last wolf is Sutherland by the Hunter Polson. Further north before you get to Berriedale is the clearance village of Badbae with I think is worth a visit. Sent from my ANE-LX1 using Tapatalk

Alpkit Pipedream 600 - in stock

Got my skye high 600 today! very impressed with it. Lay in it on the couch for 5 minutes and had to get out as it was roasting. I sleep hot so I think it will be suitable for pretty much all year round use for me. Not that I have any intention of camping in the snow but I have gone out in fine...

What book are you reading at the moment?

Yeah they do appear to of discovered or invented so many things to help them as they go but I find it is a very readable series of books. Read them all before just re reading them in advance of the new book coming out

Whats The Worst Drink You Have Been Drunk On ?

Hmmm worst stuff I ever tasted was made in a home made still by some scientists as an experiment. It tasted rank and made me ill for a couple of days. Worst ever hangover was after a night on the vodka and fresh orange. I drunk so much I passed out on the bar and spent the next 2 days throwing...

    Autosocks Rock

Just thought I would give some feedback on my winter tyres. I have had them fitted since late December and in that time there has been 5 days that I have used the car where the temperature was over 8 degrees centigrade. I believe this is the temperature where normal tyres are more effective. I...
