Trangia's don't work in the cold

What do YOU know about cold weather according to your location (Saudi Arabia)? I´ve used alcohol fed burners both in the service and at my spare time. It´s true they dont work so well when the temperature drops. The trick is to keep the burner in a pocket (filled with fuel) close to your...

@ Neil1 Pretty nice harness you got there. I suppose it´s quite comfy to carry? Fun to see how other re-build/change their gear. /Mimung

    Sissipuukko M.95

I gave myself as a x-mas present a Sissipuukko m/07. Slightly smaller than yours & with the plastic sheat. I like it so far & have been using it quite hard. Haven´t managed to wear the blade so much needing sharpening. I like the idea of how to secure the knife in the sheat. This knife is not a...

    LK series users

I use both 35 L, K & 70 L, K. I haven´t modifyed anything. When I was in the service I had the smaller one. I´ve only used the bigger one on "civil hiking". I like them both cause of how they are made. As simple as possible, not much to break down, easy to repair & so on. It´s a fact that many...

Anyone use a Swedish Medical Backpack?

The medical pack got the same frame and waist belt as 70 L, K. For you who doesn´t know, the frame is smaller on the 35 L, K and has got no waist belt. Haven´t had the chance to handle the medical pack but all rucksack models are built the same (bombproof). /Mimung

    canvas rucksacks

I´ve recently bought an french F1 canvas pack. I haven´t already tried carrying heavy loads (and maybe shouldn´t cause of lack of frame). But it´s so simple and good looking. I sure would like to lay my hands on a brand new one. Mine is grade 2 and has some stitches here and there. I got it from...

    Confused..

Thank´s guys. I´m a little short of money for the moment but I let you know if and when. Btw, the item is the french F1 rucksack which also doubles as a duffle bag. I don´t know, but I have a thing for canvas... Geez, you where really quick both of you. Oops, I´ve made a mistake. The company...

    Confused..

I wrote to Genuine Army Surplus to order but got a message from them that they do not ship over sea. I live in Sweden and Britian isn`t so far away. The reason they do not ship over sea is because customers haven´t paid them and the ordered items was returned. Yet they still have information...

    army surplus rucksacks

    Mora 2000 in the Jungle

I´m impressed that the knife performed so well in the jungle. I´m a member of a swedish military (independent) forum. Many members rejects the Mora 2000 cause of all the Strider, Emerson and Fällkniven knives. Yet you can see the Mora 2000 among swedish troops in Afghanistan. I´ve got one...
