I agree with how roughneck summed it up. I like it because when I'm walking I get hot so don't want a heavy jacket but when stationary get cold so put it on and when sitting on a bit of foam mat it covers legs as well which a lightweight jacket wouldn't do.

I have one and find it pretty handy when I'm out shooting at night. Another one to consider would be a Lowe alpine Saracen, I found the adjustable back system more comfortable than the Berghaus fixed one

I bought some unlined ones for pre work and they seem to be holding out ok, they seem to get comfier when they've warmed up a bit, I would say the sizing is pretty much spot on, maybe a bit tight when new but not worth going up a size but might be different with lined ones
