    Woodgas, how does it work?

    Here is a picture of my home-made woodgas stove, I'm not sure if the design is correct because I only heard of woodgas the other day and saw a picture of another stove and tried to make something similar.     It's attached nearest your body, I know it looks dodgy but when wearing it, the shoulder strap pulls the head tight against the pack and would only be likely to cause injury if the sheath fell off, which I feel, is unlikely.     I usually carry a small knife and laplander saw with Victorinox huntsman as an emergency back up for both. In less populated and wooded areas I'll add a wildlife hatchet.
