Trip Report A night in the snow

You have to search for it, like everybody else! ;) You shouldn't pay more than £ 50. There's one on ebay right now, significantly more expensive...

Trip Report A night in the snow

It's just thown over the top. In military use it would be put a few inches above the tent, to hide the thermal signature and also not have any even curve on the top, which resembes a tent, but be much more varied in it's shape. :)

Trip Report A night in the snow

Operation Doubble Raven II - Part 2 A great friend om mine had given me a pair of swedish army winter boots 90, which I love, but sadly they died that day, because of the heel-comming-loose-sickness that they are subjected to. It's a tragic manufacturing error that have made...

Trip Report A night in the snow

Operation Doubble Raven II - Part 1 Saturday started with a traditional Old Man fika gathering at a café, followed by a visit to Bråviken bay together with my friend TB3, and after that I drove my adventure car into the Wilderness. I had packed all my best gear and didn't even have one...

    My Gear Project is finished

I like to blend in to the enviroment and not to disturb other people or animals. I love to move slow and stealthy through the forest. I've gotten modern camouflage nets from SAAB Barracuda that you can see out from, but not in to, and that even hides your infra red (or heat) signature. I've...

    My Gear Project is finished

The four big sacks have gotten a high quality tent each, here the Hilleberg Akto, Unna and Staika, which I've all improved in various ways and given green guy lines and metal friction locks. I've also bought a green Hilleberg Tarp 10 in the old thicker fabric from the Ray Mears UK website...

    My Gear Project is finished

I've had a Gear Poject running for a number of years and now I've managed to finish it. Maybe one or two of you might find it interesting, so I'm going to show parts of it... I consider this a personal success, because of how it has changed my outdoor life. Seven factors have each contributed...

Some pic's and thoughts on winter gear

My interest in the outdoor is really filled with contradictions. I am most interested in the experience of being a part of nature. And so on from previous pages... :)

Some pic's and thoughts on winter gear

Map and compass are absolutely necessary. A small pair of binoculars are great for finding wildlife to look at! The world's most hardcore survival knife! The Finnish m/95 Sissipuukko! I put a longer webbing on it, so I can have it securely in the right leg pocket of my trousers. What...

Some pic's and thoughts on winter gear

I use a metal lantern in my tent for light, heat and general cosiness. It uses normal candles, which lasts forever. Yes, I do know about the risk of burning down my tent and up myself, but I'm a grown man and I choose to do this. :O_O: Being out in nature sometimes make me super...

Some pic's and thoughts on winter gear

I've made a lot of things for myself when there hasn't been anything similar available in the shops. Bags for camo nets, bags for various small items and a cover for an inflatable sleeping mattress. At the bottom is a cover for three tent poles that fit perfectly, making it impossible for them...

Some pic's and thoughts on winter gear

Some pic's and thoughts on winter gear - The repetition So you can see the pics again... :) - - - - - - I've just come home from a three day outdoor trip and I'd like to show some pic's from this adventure and talk a little about gear in general. I was inspired to post after I read the...

Which is the best KANTEEN and why?

I've tried most ways of carrying water and now I'm back where I started. These bottles are made for food use and the water does not get any taste of plastic from them. I absolutely love these plastic bottles! They are 0,5 l, 1,0 l and 2,5 litres. The big one fits exactly into the side pockets...
