    How is your axe sheath?

Thank you Samon, the only ones I didn't make are in the sixth picture. Looks like simple & effective Hawk sheath you have made there.

    How is your axe sheath?

Lovely work all round Kepis, BR & CB! Here's some of mine 2trapper... And for adverse conditions or those on a budget...

    Beech Bowl & Spoons.

Thank you gents, beech does take a lovely finish 'off the knife' & adzes are alot of fun. Well that sounds interesting but I didn't. They were seasoned slowly in a cool indoor place for a few months then at home for a couple more - perhaps I was lucky.

    Beech Bowl & Spoons.

Blimey, I never expected such a response. Many thanks to you all for the kind replies. Nic - I guess salad, cous cous, bouled tatties... I had no specifics in mind other than they go together & also function in their own right. Mmmm soup contest haha. A memer requested so pictures...

    Birch bark containers

Charming, inspiring & beautifully made Addo. I have tried to harvest birch bark in blighty & I know how tricky it is to get a decent sized bit to work with, hats off to you sir.

    Beech Bowl & Spoons.

Thankyou very much for the kind comments gentlemen. birdbrain57 - I used an adze (Svante Djarv) to remove the bulk of material on the inside & a kent pattern hatchet for the outside. Then finished the inside with an inshave & a spoon knife. The outside was finished with a draw knife, push...

    Beech Bowl & Spoons.

Finished these last week after letting them season for a few months.. The largest bowl I've yet made. Thanks for looking.

    Paddel from a pallet

Looks like a fine job to me. Most likely Poplar. Great for bow drill base boards too ;)

    Leuku WIP (work in progress)

That looks like it's going to be a beauty, and a sturdy one at that. Are you going for a trad flared handle?

    Natures work bench...

Nice one, it does sound like Alder to me too. I scored a similar sized bit of English Elm (a rare thing these days) from some tree surgeons at the end of my street a few weeks ago. I grabbed a few 3' x 12" lengths for carving too.

    Ventile? coat MK3

Excellent design & looks superbly made - great stuff.

    Spoon

Very nice indeed Nic, if it does crack remember a drop of superglue is your friend.

    Medicine Spoon

That is a real beauty Nic, lovely lines & proportions - I had a feeling you'd take to this with ease.

    Brades axe restoration

Nice to see such a good restoration job. You have a nice selection there too. The handles looks spot on.
