    Clearbrook Water Filters

Thank you, RE8ELD0G. I have noticed the Drinksafe line in my research and it looks like a useful system.

    Clearbrook Water Filters

Just a request for any feedback on the Clearbrook line of portable water filters as I have heard that these are the best of their type on the market. Any thoughts or points welcome.

    Hennessy Camo UK

I have received a reply to my question from Hennessey HQ in the US/Canada and they have stated that the postage fee takes into consideration the VAT/import duty as the item will come from their UK storage facility. As FGYT was good enough to mention, I was informed that it is best to ring...

    Hennessy Camo UK

I have contacted them and waiting on a reply from the relevant point of contact. There is, to my knowledge, no remarks on the website giving any inclination as to weather this is standard practice, which is a shame as the US version has a lot more products for sale as opposed to the UK-based one.

    Hennessy Camo UK

Does anybody know of a UK stockist of any of the Hennessy camo range? I am aware that I could submit a request direct to the US :spam: but may be hit by a large import tax bill. :hammock: Many thanks. :thankyou:

    Military 1st

I visited their office in Manchester yesterday and they certainly look to be very busy with their mail order business. I bought a new, black poncho liner and they are genuine, hence the reason for the visit. Manys the time that Ebay sellers proclaim to be selling genuine items, only for some...

    Campfire Sunday Roast

I am with Shaggy on this one. Sprouts are little green balls of wonder and I seem to be the only person around my Christmas table that actually digs them.

Yes, its a nice moral booster to have in the sticks. Sat under a tarp in the pouring rain with some port or maybe some rum, brandy, sherry or whiskey to drink straight or added to hot chocolate...hmmmm, a bushcraft party :dancer:

    Christmas Lists

There are always a one thing that surprise me at Christmas and that whenever I go to Midnight Mass there are only around 50 people at the service, yet there are millions hitting the streets, getting themselves in massive debt to buy presents that they can not afford and which the recipient...

Book: How to survive the end of the world as we know it

I am reading the book at the moment having heard of Rawles whilst trawling the net for US-based 'Bushcraft' sites as well as his interview on the 'Coast to Coast am' radio show. The guy seems quite balanced to me but anybody who speaks with an American accent and talking 'survival' is labeled a...

Hammock or bivibag witch is better with a tarp ?

Hammocking is the way forward Karl. A well sited tarp can offer just as much protection as a tent but allows you to fell more at one with your surroundings.

Thanks for sharing. That looks like a great trip. I might have to take a visit to that neck of the wood before the bad weather kicks.
