A great start. I have a number of blades very similar to yours. THe first couple you learn so much! Enjoy the process and it looks like you have a nice servicable blade there.
I am working on a period knife made with a farrier's rasp/file. I am not sure if I will gind it clean or go for a rougher look. Depends on the Part 2 of this video. Any one out there making knives. I like to borrow other peoples knowledge :)

In Canada I am not suppose to use FRS or GMRS stations with my handheld, but the hand held is capable if those channels are unlocked and most Baofengs are unlocked.

I just got my amateur license its a good project for the colder weather and then you can pick up a cheap Baofeng radio or go a little more pricey and get a Japanese Yaesu radio (much better).
Took the pack out for a short test. Comfortable and an axe packs nicely between the side pocket and main body of the pack. In the heat I would image that ones back would get sweaty but all in especially for the price worth it! I have a yoke lined up but still wondering if I should bother?
