    Isle of Lewis Invite

Well done for the offer, I can't see me taking you up on it for a while, what with one thing and another but sounds like you've got a great set up and would be great to pop up at some point.

What would you keep in yours ?

My initial plan would be to stay with family or friends or a hotel depending on the scenario. I don't get the default setting of being some to be running off to the woods, being a big manchild I dig that stuff, my missus, not so much. It would basically make you a refugee.

I've seen that documentary too. ;)

What would you keep in yours ?

Its why I have change, you never know when you'll need the small denominations. Maybe just the tight Jock in me but I'd be raging if I ended up having to pay a £1.25 bus trip with a fiver, it would be bad enough having to write off 25p.

What would you keep in yours ?

Cash is universal, I keep 20 quid in my bag, a tenner of one's and a tenner of 50p's incase I need to get a bag of crisps from a sports hall vending machine, an exact fare bus journey, a shop not having any change..... whatever. I like to keep at least 50 quid in my wallet too. While on the...

What would you keep in yours ?

Being picky, I get the need to have the car kit, while I don't drive, the missus does and I've put a small bag in her car, as big as she's agreed to basically. I see that as different to the 'BOB' that people (at least the ones I've seen on youtube) seem to have ready to run off to the woods...

What would you keep in yours ?

Like you I don't have a 'BOB' although I could put a good few together if I had to. I see the 'grab bag' as more useful, I've a bag that's a sort of 'grab bag/Get Home Bag' that I take with me, its probably on the hefty side to be honest as it can keep me going for a couple of days. Whether...

    Diy trangia pot stand

A bump for this as Petrochemicals was good enough to send me a version of his pot holder. Apart from being well made its a great size, I've given it a test play but can't wait to take it out for a real. I was hoping to add some pictures but I'm too stoopid to figure it out. Thanks again for...

    Homemade energy bars

I've done stuff that is 'beyond' jerky, its stiff as a board. Still has the flavours I marinated it in a good few years after but it takes a lot of spit to soften. More meaty ships biscuit thinking about it. Saying that, I haven't tried it for a while, I'll give it a go tomorrow if I mind but...

    German Army 100L Rucksack

A belated follow up, I've put the bag through a fair bit of usage, while its still going strong, there have been minor issues and its not as rugged as I'd hoped. Aside from one of the grab handles coming away, in one of the corners the frame has poked out. Its still works but I've lost a bit of...

    4x4 Oilskin Tarp

I'm just curious, while I wouldn't say no to one its not high on my 'must have' list. I generally use a 3 X 3 DD tarp or if I plan on having a fire then I've one of those Polish Lavvu's. Good shout on putting in an order on here though.
