    I also consider myself a beginner, I also make it up as i go along, start with great intentions then wing it. I do make templetes if I feel I might want to make more, most of my stuff is for me so I have no expectations to meet. look forward to seeing or reading anyone elses methods :)

    I'm self taught using Youtube University combined course with trial and error. I can offer some methods/advise/tips including burnishing edges.. Waning not photo heavy.. if any. First is not all leather types will burnish. Chrome Tanned wont, to test if your leather is chrome tan it will...

    Either keep replacing them as and when they fail or (I'd be inclined to) swap them out for copper rivets the ones you have a washer with (they appear to be quite pricey for what they are, however once you use them you dont regret the purchase) but you would need to figure away of setting them...

    Nice work there gra_farmer Watch out if theyre hollow style rivets on the belt loops they have a tendancy to fail. Cant tell if they are or not.

    Gnomes, of the knitted variety

    theyre awesome, theres a group (i assume) in the local villages who knit hats for the royal mail letter boxes, they have little charecters on and scenes. its nice to see them dotted about. locals get quite upset when they disapear.. (and I dont blame them)
