Splendid and well done!! Will make a fine addition to you knife work. I've done some dot and line scrimshaw in the past it is very time consuming and I can really appreciate the efforts you have put in to get it just right.

Drilling the antler would be the first thing that I would try. I would drill the hole so that the tang would fit correctly and I would take a skinny piece of antler, brass, horn, wood or similar and fit it to the tang proper and then you can epoxy the bits together. The skinny piece will cover...

My hobbies are crafting and artistically inclined, as of late carving bone pendants has kept me busy.

The Pet Store bone I get for carving is not brittle at all, in fact it is quite possible to get very sharp edges and points with it. I have been carving pendants out the same bone for a couple of years now.
