i`ve negotiated a deal to keep my top camp site in Cumbria, hammocks,tents, and trailer tents(well one or two). off up there on 23rd July if you`re interested in joining us, a roast beef (stone oven) and jacket spuds will be cooked, open fire cooking, bring some wood if you can. pm for details...

the hammock was off the bay, jungle type, no name specified but i`ll repare it with my own sewing, it`ll be stronger.

I`m interested in this as i have just made a prototype strap that can be adjusted from both ends for length but also has a lot of other tension questions that i could do with some help on if there is a willing member who could be trusted not to run off with my idea, lol. What`s the best colour for hammock straps, i have seen both of the above and also black so which is the prefered colour?

it is a shame, i`m digging around for a new spot, there`s a good chance i will be able to use a farmers field at the Staveley end of the lakes, Style End south end of Gatescarth Pass, a few trees, a stream, a dry wall for a wind break and fires will be OK. I`ll keep you posted on this

sad news i`m afraid, the camp site has changed owners, the house & land have been sold to a holiday let company so i no longer have permission for the place, i`ll have to call this one off unless i can find an alternative venue quickly. really sorry folks.
