Are there any Leather shops in or near Glasgow

there used to be a shop at glasgow cross (high st @ trongate), western style clothing if i remember right, sold lots of leather gear. Never been in the shop so can't comment much - the place just sprung to mind from passing it so often in car.

Visit to Scotland / Lomond Camping?

Im pretty sure the ban exists up to Ptarmigan lodge. There's a nice little stretch just beyond it - had a night there a few months back. There is a footpath, but its way above and you would be out of site of anyone following this. Park at rowerdennan and its about a 30 min walk on a decent path.

    Bushcraft club - help!

Maybe just describe the club to the kids and get them to come up with a name - makes them feel like its their club. Not that you should have to, no doubt if a male were to have made those comments,he have been sacked by now. Good luck with the club.

Post the last place you visited ...

Took my grandson and SWMBO with the dogs to some woods in the Campsies. Within 10 mins Zak (20 months) decided he should lie in the puddles like Domino, our spaniel. I told his mum he needs waterproof trousers, not jeans from next - did she listen?

    Living

Bushcraft / camping is my hobby, something i enjoy after work and family commitments allow. Surely bushcraft and camping can be combined - i only manage to get mates to come along because i ask if they want to come camping. If i asked them to come bushcrafting, i'd get laughed out the room...

    Aluminium bottle stove

That looks great mate. Is it as simple as cutting the bottom off and piercing holes, or is there more to it? I've a few of those bottles lying about so will give it a go.

    Litter louts - gotcha!

Well done, would have taken 4 PC's and a D.I to even consider that kind of detection work! Hopefully the parents will be dishing out some punishment

    5 Items Or Less.....

I really need to pay better attention - just spent the last hour reading (and enjoying) all the posts, thinking about what kit i would take, where i would go etc - then realised the challenge was last year, DOH!!!! Great idea and i'm gonna give it a try anyway.
