    Half a hide of chrome tanned khaki green digi cam printed leather?

    It's chrome tan. Not good for sheaths. The chemicals left in the leather can corrode metals.

    Plus seriously... It looks like minecraft leather.

    oh ok, erm, not sure in that case. one thing id like is some sort of pouch that i can put found/damp/wet tinder into that will dry it out, maybe with a section to hold some silica gel or something

    That would work...it's a very 'different' print though. Not very shrafty.

    A pair of gloves or pot holder or knee pads or something? Any sort of practical use for leather where you're not going to be bothered about cleaning and waxing it.

    Too thick for gloves, knee pads isn't a bad idea. Maybe one of those 3 legged saddle stools.

    If you made a traditional puukko style sheath with a wooden internal liner, then you could use the leather as it wouldnt contact the metal of the blade. Bit of a ball ache though:)

    I'm very interested to see what you come up with.

    Could you not line it with natural leather to make a knife sheath?

    I could, but I prefer natural leather. I think I'll make some stuff for my kids with it.
