Want to make a leather pouch

I want to make a leather possibles pouch. I have some leather, an awl, a fork for marking, a craft knife, needles, thread, beeswax and some dye.

If anybody could give me any pointers in the direction of stitching marking our designs and other things that i need to know. I dont want to spend a huge amount of money but if there is something essential i need to buy then i will have to.

You dont need a lot of fancy tools they are mainly specialist tools to make the job easier not necessities imho
My suggestion would be to think very carefully about how you will use the pouch and what will be in it
Function very much over form for me
make a mock up out of card first which will give you a template of sorts

You have everything you need there already Bob.

You can mark a groove well enough for stitching with a fingernail drawn along the edge of your work if you need it.

Stitches can be spaced by eye too.

I really don't know why people invest in all this expensive gear unless they are doing professional amounts of work.
