Question, How much beeswax would i need to wax the finished product, the tankard will be about 1 pint.

And do i need to mix the wax with anything or is it just melted wax?

Thanks

Dave

Enough wax to submerge it would be best

I keep my wax in an old ss coffee container and just put it on a saucer in a saucepan filled up with water. Then I just warm it up that way rather than over a naked flame which means the wax won't get too hot.

I used 100g of wax. Warmed it up in a pot that then sat in a pot of water.
Placed tankard in the oven at VERY low temp started at 40c and ended up around 60c. Just warmed the tankard, and then kept painting the leather with the wax, slow but no need for a litre of wax. This way it goes into the leather and not just sits on top of it. Painted both inside and out.
