Not yet got around to repacking my gear either... but I'm not sweating it :)
Done enough repacks of my gear to make it a trivial task these days. Only thing is my tarp is still wet from Saturday, and I'm tempted to hang it and try to dry it out.

I ve just got home, and still not packed... tomorrow night I must get home from work.. Pack........ then may go round mum and dads....... my packing may be just throw everythign in bags then throw them in the Disco....

Your tarp should dry in no time with these expected 70mph winds tomorrow!

I'm all ready apart from getting the fresh loaf of celiac bread on Friday! What time are you expecting to get the cooking done by on Saturday?

I work Friday nights till 5am Saturday morning, so option 1: stay up Saturday, and join you guys early for breakfast, meaning I can have plenty of time to prep stuffing and sauces but no sleep!
option 2: get some sleep, be over for lunchtime, and do my prep the day before, or after lunchtime on site!

I think we were planning on eating at lunch time, so we are not eating and clearing away in the dark.

Just checked the met office again and the wind should have died away by early morning, so should not be a problem for us tomorrow.

One thing everyone should bring is a chair, as the stools on site are probably too low for use at the tables, and a little bit wibbly.

Thanks for a great weekend all.

Good to see some familiar faces and to meet a few new ones.

All topped of with a hearty meal and good conversation.

It had been too long, so I'll try not to leave it another 6 months until the next one!

Well home now.. the planning put into action and the deed is done.. with a few hic-cups but then and again it was just like a normal Family Christmas Dinner, with a difference...

Begun with a meeting the compasses and a quick Half, and a chat, then up to the Woods, Friday was a set up and settle in day for us and, all the gear that people had brought was ferried up in the Disco and the Mitsi.. fire was on the go.. :), Mike had put up the tree, and dressed it, lights went on...

I cooked two Pizzas in the Clay oven for my tea, and we sat down for the night around the Fire..chatting an laughing..

On the Saturday we got up and had breakfast, Colin and Chris O Put together the New Shed that Colin had brought along .. that will be our Long drop and some storage as well :)... it looks really nice with is coat of green treatment that Amy and Chris B put on :)

Early in the Morning the Landowner appeared with one of his Turkeys for us, and shared a cuppa for a chat.

As the morning went on the whole group got the food ready put the Turkey in the Dustbin, the timer was set 2 hrs at Bin Mark VH... the Dutch ovens were stacked and the Billys were fill of veg... the Frontier stove was employed to make the Sauces and the Stuffing.. later on the Stuffing was baked in the Clay oven to finish it off... some of it got a wee bit burnt..

The tables were laid...and set.. The time came.. the Dustbin was lifted and .. we saw one of the best Cooked Turkey we could of wished for.. the Turkey was carved.. the roasts, veg ect was put on the table in a buffet style, Dinner was served...:)..

After the meal we closed up the Shelter with some side stoked the fire, and sat down to Christmas Pud, Custard, and Plum Jam... mmmmm, a little bit later the Cheese and buscuts cam out accompanied by Walnuts..

It was a great weekend with some old friends, newer friends, and some new ones as well:).. it was great to meet Vicky (Mrs Ozzy), and Amy..

It was a Meet that Ended the Suffolk Bushcraft Calendar of 2013 with a great high, Thank you to all of you that attended, brought the Ingredients, and the lent the Equipment ect, and made it what it was, I look forward to next years Meets, and the continued friendships, and experiences,
