Saturday I taught what in the UK would be considered a bushcraft class. My fire lighting kit took a beating and not much was left, even my char cloth was damp-ish. What a perfect time to see if it still works when it is really needed. I went out for a little woods walk today and put what was left of the kit to the test with some local freeze dried bracken that was sticking up out of the snow. The red squirrel was annoyed at me but they are all drama queens anyway so just ignore him...
