They must be Marmite as I hate them as food.
If only they tasted like an early season Penny Bun I could understand the attraction. As it stands their use as a lantern during the season of all things mist & mellow fruitfulness must account for why they've not gone the same way as the Dodo!

Ok guys thanks for the imput. The humour has cheered me up no end. I was getting pumkin flavoured depression. I was almost ready to shoot them or build a trebuchet . I think the weather had something to do with the bumper crop. Never had so many before. Thanks again

Do the pumpkins not store well?
( I am not from a pumpkin eating culture).
Cold cellar or garage?
Apples store well. Shrink a little bit over time, but still nice to eat. Excellent to make desserts with once they are soft.

A big treb is an awkward thing to build. You must incorporate a weight ratio of 200/1 for an adequate fling.
"Punkin' Chunkin'" is a North American distance sport (?) of epic proportion as you can probably imagine.
18-wheel transports can bring the biggest air cannons, Punkins go the better part of a mile, across a freeway.
Either category is just crazy to watch (scan YouTubes.) The trebs turn in slow motion.
Do 120kph. Have your passenger flip a big punkin out the window so it lands in the road behind you.
Invite your local licensed pyrotechnician for an evening of pyrotechnical "product development".
Supply a dozen pumpkins.

Climb to the top and drop a pumpkin. Measure the acceleration due to gravity.

I have no garage or cellar so storage space is very limited here. Years ago I lived in a very old house which had a whole earthen floored room for storage.shelves all round the walls and hooks for hams etc. Used to be able to build clamps for root veg inside the house. Still havnt got out of the habit of filling every space with jars etc. Modern bungalow nowadays. No aga... .sigh still I now have central heating and a shower. Gain some loose some.

These look amazing but wonder how they would work with glutenfree flour and what else I would have to add to the dough to be successful
Think the string idea is a bit faffy. I can see someone saying "why is there a bit of string in my roll!?" I may give these a go tho they will have to be given away to friends if I use propper flour. Thanks.
