Hi.

I am looking for a supplier of quality pole lathe centres for a new lathe I am building to go in a centre for young people with disabilities to use.

The collective wisdom on here should find something. Google displays lots from the wheelwright site but I have emailed and their site doesn't appear to be active.

Thanks in anticipation. The budget for something similar is £50.

Im building the lathe for free but don't currently have the time or kit to make robust and quality easy to adjust centres.

Depending on the lathe, you could just grind a point onto two large pins (14mm threaded rod, etc). The adjustable centres that places like the woodsmithstore sell are not needed really (we didn't need them for maybe 6000 years!) but are popular amongst modern bowl turners
