I've been out and about foraging quite a bit over the last couple of weekends. The countryside is absolutely lush with lovely wild fruit at the moment. So far we've picked blackberrys, wild plums and damsons. We've made blackberry and apple crumble, plum jam and some hunters whiskey for me! One of the nicest bits is that the children seem to be enjoying it more and more. On Sunday we were in the Downs not to far from Eastbourne and saw the planes flying over for the airshow which was an added freebie whilst picking.
