Bit of fun for the day was rebuilding this trailer I bought in "fair condition" from eBay and only needed new elastic for the lid. As it was, the suspension units had rotted and by the time I got it home it was pretty much falling to pieces.

I welded new plates (my stick welding skills are 2nd to everyone elses) use flapdiscs to derust as much as possible. I painted the metal with a couple of coats of hammerite and exterior grade (not marine) ply with some waterphobic fence stuff. Under the trailer I fitted a sheet of twin ply plastic. No idea what it was actually for, but I felt it might add a decent layer of protection against road spray. It's not UV stable, but frankly it's only on the bottom of the trailer.

Electrics were worse than I feared so I've sprung for a new tailboard as well.

More replacement parts than triggers broom sadly.

Nice work. So basically you were just sold an idea lol. I need to put some work into my little trailer. What did you use for the cover? Mine is ruined.

Same old cover, not much life left in it sadly but I replaced the elastics so it does look a little better! There's some on eBay for 5*3 trailers so probably will just buy one when I need it. If you find a material let me know!
