Quick mental maths and I think there will be about 40 or so of us. I haven't checked the list on both sites fully - but some members have posted on both sites.

Combine us with the LARPers (Time Warp theme - hopefully Rocky Horror Show, but more likely to be time travelling cavemen!) and it will be a good weekend again.

Looking forward to seeing you all again.

My problem now is I have to unpack my bergan, which has been tormenting me since New Year. I packed it for a night out and got flu, so never went or unpacked it!

Simon

Not envious of that task ;)

Can I ask what are the rules for fires? Sorry if this has been covered.

Do I need a fire box ?
Do I need to bring fire wood or can it be collected or bought ?
Can I collect tinder from the wood (not fire wood)

Are there plenty of tree’s for a tarp or should a bring poles / tent as a back up ?

Looking forward to it

Yes there is plenty trees, and plenty flat ground for tents.
Ill be trying out my hennessey for the first time, and Andywinks tarp. Thats going to be great for the bushmoot when torrential downpour had us stuck in the tents last time!

Any kids going to this meet. I think Adam was lonely last time and may not come if there are no more ankle biters coming. Adam is 7, as some of you will know.:)
It's alot easier in summer as he can play in the woods for longer. When it goes dark I like to keep him close by and he gets bored after he's let his small fire die out for the 10th time:rolleyes:

Cheers

I'll check what time we can arrive and get back to you Drew.

Last time we could arrive as early as we liked, but I'll get back to you once I have confirmed.

I'll be working until 5 so will be there about 8ish. Save me a couple of strong trees, Christmas is still being worked off!

Strong trees eh Simon?

You need to ask Wayland if you can borrow the straps I used after snapping my hammock lines last time.

I too am only finishing work at 5 so there will be head torches galore whilst setting up the tarp. But guys remember when approching the camp fire TURN THEM OFF!:aargh4:

Drew, I will be setting up where you were last time I think, if you are not intending on going there. If not I did like where Wayland had his set up, but no doubt you will be there again Garry. ;)
I now have a TC tarp 4, so I will be well covered and looking to set up something like you had yours last time Garry, I was well impressed with your set up. Might need some tips and hints from you.;)

Really looking forward to this one.:drive:

I should be arriving in the morning on Friday I reckon.

I will probably be in the same spot again unless someone beats me to it.

Damn, I knew you would beat me to that spot Gary.:D

Oh well there are trees a-plenty.

OH! a quick heads up, as there was mulled wine going round last time, Tescos are selling it off at £1.60 a bottle, might be worth a punt.

I will also have a Horn cup that will need a christaning whilst there.

Ooops, Sorry Gary, only 1 r in your name.

Oh Lurch, dont go there or we will have a torch war on our hands.

The duel between Boz and Gary was bad enough last time.

I have a 1,000,000 candle powered torch you dont want me bringing that one! :p Hmmm how could I make that into a head torch without putting my neck out.
