Is there anybody in Britain who is well known for making hiking boots in individual measures?

Geiger Schuhe, Frittlingen makes exclusively shoes and boots in individual measures. That's in the black forest area in south west Germany.

Steinkogler in Austria sells standardised models and individual custom made shoes and boots too.

Steinkogler has 30 employees, Geiger works alone.

I have one size different feet, and since I bought the model Bernina from Geiger for 320 € I am really every day as glad as if it would be christmas.
To use really fitting hiking boots makes a difference like night and day for me.

I can't believe that nobody in Britain offers that service for a reasonable price.

But of course: Austrians and Germans are the leaders of the world market for mountain boots, no question.

You might find that disputed

Buchanan make boots for folks such as yourself, and they have an excellent reputation.

I know of them since they are the most local bootmakers, but there are dozens of other such makers throughout the country.

I was a bit slowly with the last comment.
Here is a German using a very small Smartphone...

But doesn't matter.

Yes, Italy currently makes the best high alpine stuff, so I was told. The stuff for really heavy duty and really high areas.

But I am interested, which bushcraft equipment is made in Britain.

Not only designed and constructed in Britain, or made by a factory which is owned by a Brit.

No, I would like to know which stuff is really MADE IN BRITAIN.

Erbswurst, if this is just a hobby, you really need to get out more! ;)

If this has a more serious (commercial or academic) purpose, perhaps it would be fair to disclose it to the members of this forum who are providing you with information - data provided in response to all kinds of seemingly innocuous requests on social media does sometimes get used in all kinds of weird ways.

Also bear in mind that on a previous occasion when people in Berlin started drawing up lists of British factories making outdoor related equipment, things escalated quite badly! ;)

FWIW, a while ago when I was buying tools in Malawi one of the most popular brands were the “Made in Britain” tools. They were truly terrible quality but no worse than the “Made in Germany” tools which is not surprising since they were probably produced in the same Chinese factory! :)

I simply don't know it and want to get the information

Don’t tell him Broch! ;)

I am myself in the market for leather boots, custom made, so will investigate if one of those people can make them on distance.

Living here in the heat means that I only wear shoes or boots when it is cold up in Norway, flip flops or sandals ( UK made Clarks).
As a result, the front of my feet has gotten wider, and the toes splay.
I can not find boits that fit, and hate trainers.
Had some pairs made by a guy in Oxford, should last my life out. He has my measures, so I can order shoes easily, but he does not do boots.
The name is Ducker & Son.
Yesterdays quality, can highly recommend!

So far I am informed, Germany currently doesn't plan to start an invasion to Britain.

But being a civilian of course I can't be 100% sure about it.

May be they think about, because our government could be afraid that the delivery of Scottish Whiskey could become interrupted, if Britain should leave the European Union without a trading contract.

We never know!

But I asure you, that I only asked about British outdoor stuff, because I am personally interested in it. Unfortunately nobody pays me for playing around in this forum.

Would I have been asked, which country Germany should try to conquer, I would vote for France instead of Britain, because the weather is better there and I think the kitchen too.

But currently it's far easier and cheaper to go there for holydays.

Nah, French cuisine is vert passé; full of over elaborate sauces and fussy presentation. The new 'food for gods' is Steak and Guinness pie, Cawl, or Haggis :)
