Hello mate I'm totally new to bushcraft besides camping and small hunting experience, but I'm up for learning anything and everything about it, sadly I wont be able to attend the winter moot but I'm most certainly doing the summer, but besides that pal I am more than happy to learn whatever you have to teach and I'm really looking forward to meeting people.

Hi Guys!
I trust you are all excited about lockdown restrictions easing and being able to have a fresh start. I certainly am!
My name is David, I'm moving to Liverpool from the end of June. I want to incorporate more bushcraft into my life, as well as kickstart my social life in my new town.

It seems to me that the best way to do this would be to organise regular pub trips (I propose once a week) with other bush crafters. We can use this time to:
  • Get to know each other.
  • Share expertise.
  • Plan expeditions.
  • Sort out trip logistics.
I'm happy to answer any questions people may have,
David

Hi Crusoe1,
Thank you for getting back to me! It's great to see there is some initial interest!
It would work best if we can 4-5 people to get involved and, as I said in my post, I need to get everything sorted with my move. You'll be able to see if we get any more interest and then I will discuss things further in the future.
Stay safe.

Yes, hopefully get a group of people interested. Not sure if there's facebook pages or anywhere to advertise for people.

Hi Lee,
Nothing has been organised yet. I've written to several woodland trusts: it was only a few days ago, so it would only be reasonable to give them more time to respond. I'm interested in organising weekend trips, maybe also doing a week long trip in the summer.
What are you looking for?
Regards,
David

Lee,
As I said I've contacted a few places about potentially being able to use their woodland to practice in. I've had a few ideas as to more people we could contact. I was wondering why don't we try and meet up and discuss any other action we could take

Me phone died and I’ve not been able to get on it. Why don’t we do a coffee on afternoon in town and work out what we can do .
