STRANGEUS PLACEUS
For those who wish to sample the delights of the lignon berry without travelling to Scandinavia,
I accidentally found a source (sauce)! IKEA £6 a jar:eek:

quite expensive but makes an exellent accompanyment to meat and cheese.

If you ever get your hands on fesh lingonberries there is another treat you can make; sour lingonberries. Simply place lingonberries in fresh, cold water in a jar, let stand in a cool place for a few weeks or months. You end up with a very sour berry, preserved by the benzoic acid naturally present in the berries.
