Send it back with a nice letter stating there is no way the knife should have broken as such are endorsed by the Godfather of Bushcraft.

Given that this is the second knife that the OP has managed to break in as many months (see thread below), I suspect that "operator error" is a more likely explanation than quality control failures by the knife-making elves that work in the caves below Mora Mountain!

While drunk, with a knife not designed for throwing. Good luck with that!

I'm outta here, you mistreat knives and don't know what you're doing. :dunno:

:) not everyone is born with knife using skills , please don't forget the fact that I am from country where this subject is on 0 and I am trying my best to learn something and to teach someone something in my country. It is not easy when your only source of knowledge are videos on youtube and a few books.

He's not a troll, just someone who hasn't learnt (yet) how to determine limits of tools. Such as; use a soft-mild steel knife for practising throwing, don't use a knife as a pry bar.

I would use the broken off bit of blade to make a small folder.

So here is the knife in the handle , the question of the day is what shape should I give to it ?

Good save there! A very easy handle finish is to do nothing - your natural skin oils will build up over time. It will look a bit grubby at the start, but a sort of patina will build over time. (The side of your nose is a rich source of natural oils)

No sympathy,a knife is a cutting instrument, not a crowbar. I can never see the point when some folk on here try to test knives to destruction. If you want to split a log , use a splitting axe, or mall, not a knife. Surely anyone can destroy any
implement, if they use it for something it was not designed for. I can see the value of cutting wood, or rope, and
using a knife to cut through material, beyond what it is designed for, to see how it will bear up, but I do not see the sense
in trying to use it as a pry bar, when another tool should be used that is designed for this purpose. Rant over.
