Home made crayfish/crab/lobster pots

Hi,
Has anyone had a go at making their own fishing pots or traps? I'd be really keen to see your results!

i can remember back when i was a youngin people using bike wheels/rims with a rope tied through the centre and the bait attached near the spindle ,then picked up every so often to see what was on the spokes !! a bit labour intensive but it seemed to work ok

Take the spokes out and replace with a net. Not that good as an overnight trap, but good as a drop net.

Years ago I modified an old keep net. Really easy to do, you just need paracord and can make 2 or three from a 10ft net.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll give the bike wheel thing a go and have a few other ideas too.
