I've got a DD frontline, I've cut the webbing and used a fisherman's knot to pass through the hammock and attached a carabiner. But the carabiner is now only a few inches for the end of the hammock. The ones I've seen elsewhere are a few feet? Will I have any problems?

I wouldn't have thought so, I've done similar on a couple of my hammocks in the past with no problem, now though I just replace all the webbing with whoopie slings :)

My Binn'er is at the very most 12 inches from the end and works fine as a drip catcher and as a connector.

Thanks for the replys just a quick pick to make sure, ignore the face that I've tied the webbing to the hammock I was trying to get it out of the way for the pic

Agreed, will work okay and get you hanging which is what it's all about.

You could make it a lot simpler, cleaner and lighter if after a while you want to look at a few options, but not essential by any means :)
