He who smelt it?

Not fair mate, he's just pointing out how bad it really is nowadays. I feel especially sorry for those who have to drive up and down the country for their business/job!!!

Yep sundowner, anyone who puts in serious miles for a living knows the traffic situation, and is not usually a fan of driving.

Honestly Tengu hour and a half is unfortunate but considering at peak times a bus can take 2 hours here (kids rubbish shouting noise traffic violence stops) or a car about half as long to do 5 miles, the train is amazing.

That paddington thing, why did they not just stay at home?

Nah, you all sound like a bunch of moaning old men :) - roll with the punches and get back up - that's life.

Hey Broch,
That is because I'm an old , moaning bloke who's sick of getting the punches and rolling with it is a no go area because of arthritis. But most of all I'm actually over the moon with still being able to moan and I'm loving it :D:D:D

Tengu, to answer your original question, information on making claims for late running trains in the UK is here: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ticket_types/121354.aspx
I've made many claims to Northern Rail in the past year or so as my daily train is often late or delayed, or non-existent. They do pay out too!
Find your train Company's own claim page from that link, you may need to send a copy of your ticket and railcard if appropriate.
