I came across this in a petrol station last year.
They were on special so picked a packet up.
They are (according to the packet)
They seem to be wax infused paper, which burn nice and long when started.
I've never tried buffing them up and seeing if they light directly from a Fire steel, but they light easily enough from a flame.
( EDIT: Yep! Just tried it... they'll light from a Fire steel.. needs to be tweazed apart a bit, and tad fiddly, but went up on 2nd strike)
I've kept them in bottom of my rucksack ever since and the don't smell at all.
Here's a few pics.
Anyway, I've been on the look out for them since.. and can i find any? of course not!
Anyone seen these or know where I can get them from?
I think (like most good things) they originate from Sweden and have different brand names.
I believe these guys make them:

I dropped them a line last month asking if they could point me towards some UK suppliers, no reply tho.
If anyone has any ideas, let me know!
Cheers
Carlo
