Just thought I would share my dutch oven cooking I've just started using it and tbh I never cook at home so I'm really impressed with myself and the wife and daughter even enjoyed it :)

I do enjoy a nice slow cooked stew in a dutchie, I buy the fattiest chunks of brisket I can find then 3 or so hours over a low fire and it melts in the mouth.

I tend to use mine quite a bit, not just on the weekends out in the woods but at home as well, I make my Chilli and some times Spag-bol in it over a fire pit in the back garden, they also get used on the Gas Hob as well :).

Only last weekend at the Suffolk meet for a Guinness and Venison Stew and Dumplings :), the stew had bubbled away for about 3 hrs... the meet was so soft, it just disapered in the Mouth....

Just one of the many ways of cooking that their is to be re-discovered :)

Do it I wish I had when I first got mine well worth it :)

that looks very very good stu I've got a fire pit in the ground in my back garden to practice on and your tripod works a treat if anyone needs one ;)

I must say that the venison stew posted above by Big Stu was very nice. This winter I have been using my 4l one for stews in the oven, it sits on the bottom of the oven nicely, I find they taste better than when done in the le cruset pots.

In the back ground you can see a Turkey being cooked in a Dustbin as well :)
