I second Carinthia because i have a defence force 4 and a jacket from them.

I want to give you my defence force 4 sleeping bag for nothing which is new and never used because i can't fit into the sleeping bag as i am too big for it chest wise.

If i was going to give you the sleeping bag which is the defence force 4 i need to find something to put it in as it won't be coming with the stuff sack which is the thing.

Whatever happens really.

Dan.

Thanks E. I just checked out the system and it looks good but I think it might be overkill for my needs, so I've done a quick comparison of the special forces 2 bag to other snugpak and dd jura warmth, weight, packed size). Do you know anything about the other snugpak bags?

Tactical 4 2.1kg -12c/-17c 25x24cm £175
Elite 4 1.95kg -10c/-15c 28x24cm £110

Tactical 3 1.7kg -7c/-12c 23x20cm £155
Special Forces 2 1.8kg -7c/-12c 23x23cm £164

Dd jura £59 1.7kg 26x22cm -5

I use the snugpak elite bags, a 2 for warm weather, 3 for most of the year, and a 4 for winter in the uk. Not been cold in the 4 yet. I like the robust nature of them with the reinforced footbox and the expanding panel that means they fit larger chested/shouldered folk like me :)

Wow Dan, thank you, that would be amazing! How should we go about that? Shall I private message you somehow?

That bivvy bag is used in the German Army. It fits to the Carinthia Defence 4 sleeping bag.

You should watch out, if you find a grade 1 surplus bivy bag in Britain. It is possible to get them at the surplus market. But often they are in very repaired conditions if you buy them used in Germany.

I do think highly of carinthia they make some nice quality items, i know because i have bought 2 items from their website the sleeping bag and the jacket, this jacket > https://www.carinthia.eu/bags/en/shop/Trousers-Jacket/G-Loft+Reversible+Jacket/?card=1225&list=1 .

The jacket i have feels built to last, very waterproof, breathable i don't sweat (i mean my sweat does escape with how breathable the jacket is as well as not absorbing my sweat into the material this jacket is made from) and warm and light.

Robust is the word i am after, this coat can take some punishment and not let you down.

You get what you pay for, expensive but i am satisfied with the quality of this item the jacket as well as the sleeping bag that does not fit me.

Even if you treat your stuff like well like poo as i don't want to swear and survive.

I will be buying these from them > https://www.carinthia.eu/bags/en/sh...t[0]=OLIVE/SAND&variant[1]=XXXL#_tab_content2

They make nice quality gear that i can swear by not the cheapest but yeah.

Hey Dan,
Its jolly decent of you to offer the bag on here. I hope you don't mind me being curious what has brought you to the point where you are so cheerful to pass it on?

Cheers

Me well i don't mind, but i feel good to give things to complete strangers plus saving the person money and getting a decent made bag such as this the defence force 4.

I don't mind what he would do with the bag i.e. selling it or whatever i just hope it would fit him unlike me.
