I think ive figured out why trangia do not make this, as if you try and move the legs with the stove lit, ie to level it, the burner could possibly fall out and spill its fuel oall over your rucksack and set your tent on fire, not that a seasoned outdoorsman like me did such a thing. I think some sort of locking mechanism may be needed.

You could always attach hook latches to keep the 3 ‘wings’ folded out?
2 should be enough.

Trangia is space saving as it is, its minimum pack size is the basically same as the smallest pot.
Practically it is not easy to go smaller?

Stands like you have so beautifully crafted have one major disadvatage imo, they need a firm base / ground to stand on and even then they are not safe and stable.
Applies to those modern systems ( gas burners) too. The Trangia Mini has the same disadvatage.

A bump for this as Petrochemicals was good enough to send me a version of his pot holder. Apart from being well made its a great size, I've given it a test play but can't wait to take it out for a real. I was hoping to add some pictures but I'm too stoopid to figure it out.

Thanks again for the prezzy, its gone to a good home and its drawn praise from those I've shown it to.
