Myself and my wife, as well as a couple of local BCUK members, have had the pleasure of attending one or two of the courses held at the Derbyshire Eco Centre since it was opened a couple of years ago. For those who aren't familiar with what's on offer, Radio 4 will be including it in their 'Farming Today' programme at 5:45am on Bank Holiday Monday.
I've no affiliation other than having attended their courses in the past, and found them excellent value, packed with info and presented by very skilled tutors. The subjects on offer (and probably most relevant to BCUK members) are seasonal, for example much of the courses on coppice, dry stone walling, hedge laying, woodland management etc are predominantly available in Autumn and Winter, with more construction, sustainability and family orientated courses throughout the summer.
